S.T.E.A.M. Project Labs

S.T.E.A.M. Project Labs are designed for learners ages 7-12 and emphasize the development of inquiry, discussion, and collaboration as well as topics related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Movement.  Meetings include whole-group instruction and collaborative work cycles.

All Project Lab session topics are planned with group members and align with the areas of study outlined in our Curriculum.   These meetings include whole-group inquiry and study of S.T.E.A.M., topics, application, and a work-cycle focused on project development and exploration.  

Our teachers are NC state-certified for elementary, middle school, and special education.   All staff also complete NC background checks and Red Cross First Aid Certification.  

Our grouping ratio is 1 support to 8 student members.  

One or Two meetings per week, 

Tuesdays and/or Thursdays  from 1 to 4 pm

Lunch Club, 12 pm - 1 pm

Our practice and learning together reach beyond single classes. We are delighted to sponsor a local Kids for Peace Club, The Bead Project (a kid-led non-profit), and share a complete Community Calendar.  As experienced, certified educators, we are uniquely equipped to support the entire family, serve as your homeschool tutors, and partner with you to keep records, report to the state, problem-solve,  and design schedules and learning goals that are just right.
