Let's talk about it! This is the first step to showing interest in joining our Schoolhouse. Link here to schedule an appointment or join an Open Schoolhouse. We will discuss hopes for your family’s experience and what our Schoolhouse Programs offer.
Montessori and self-directed philosophies are the foundation of our work and enrollment in a NC homeschool is required. We suggest that you complete some personal research to learn more about Montessori methods, approaches to self-directed learning, and homeschooling in the state of North Carolina. The overviews provided by the Alliance for Self-Directed Education, the American Montessori Society are great places to start.
We'll plan this visit during our call or meet at an open house. We can't wait to share our learning space with you! We’ll also provide our handbook, policies, and enrollment form for your review following our visit.
Our programs are for school-aged homeschoolers, ages 5-14.
Schoolhouse meetings are offered Monday-Thursday.
Morning Session 9:00am-12:00pm Afternoon Session 12:30pm-3:30pm
Our community celebrates diversity in all forms and recognizes that only inclusive and equitable practices can create safety, peace, learning, and growth for all. In order to provide the best support for individuals and the group as a whole, we may make scheduling recommendations or place limits based upon our understanding of individuals and the group.
Limitations: We are a community of families with valued homeschools! For this reason, we hold the following expectations for participation in our schoolhouse meetings.
Submit a membership form with a $250 non-returnable fee to Dandelion Learning Collaborative. The application fee includes materials and supplies for the academic year and will only be refunded if Dandelion Learning determines that we are unable to meet the needs of your family in our Schoolhouse.

Please share any additional information that you think we should have on hand - this may include work samples, projects, and/or documentation of learning preference
After all forms, fees, information sharing, and visits have been completed, Dandelion Learning will contact parents within three days to make you aware of our admission decision. A contract and emergency forms will be provided to you at this time.
To make it official, please submit a signed copy of your contract, all emergency forms, a copy of your Declaration of Intent to Homeschool, and your enrollment deposit for Schoolhouse Membership to Dandelion Learning Collective.
We want what's best for you too. Please let us know right away if you choose to pursue another course for your family so that space may be made available to a child that Dandelion Learning is just right for. Should you decline admission, the application fee will be forfeited.
Registration for 2024-25 is open! We welcome members on a first come, first served basis and look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
