The state of North Carolina considers you to be your homeschool administrator, and we consider ourselves to be part of the team that you’ve hired to keep your homeschool program running – and running well.
We provide a dependable drop-off program that gives you time on your own, confidence that your child (and their confidence and spark for learning) is safe in the Schoolhouse, continues your own wishes for learning and personal growth, keeps you apprised of progress while your child is at the Schoolhouse, and sets your homeschool up with routines and materials for success too!
How Dandelion Helps
Students of working parents get to combine their learning at Dandelion with individualized studies at home that match their own pace and progress.
This gives working parents the opportunity to open homeschools for their children that keep their own working lives and learning opportunities for their children in balance.
- Part-time, drop-off, self-selected schedule (Mon–Thu, AM/PM) with opt-in Friday field trip seats and Day Camp Days offered throughout the academic year
- Real academics with certified teachers
- Track-out and summer/break camps
- Small ratio + licensed counselors
- Community for kids and parents
You can choose anywhere from 2 to 6 half-days per week, Monday-Thursday, with the option to add our Lunch Club throughout the week.
Friday Field trip seats and Day Camp Days are also offered throughout the Academic Year.
Our Academic Year sessions are mornings 9am-12pm, Lunch Club 12pm-1pm, and afternoons 1pm-4pm.
We’re hard to define – not childcare or a school.
We are considered private tutors for homeschoolers in North Carolina and voluntarily participate in state health and safety protocol as-if we were a school-age camp.
Yes! We are an approved NCSEAA service provider with certified State content and special educators and proudly accept ESA+ funds.
