How Dandelion Supports Your Homeschool

Part-time, drop-off Schoolhouse days give real, personal time back to parents while your children are with people and a place they can trust to honor, nurture, and encourage them – and without forced full-time enrollment that takes away from your family’s personal time and schedule.

STEAM Project Labs and Montessori Schoolhouse programs provide group instruction, exploration, and access to a wide range of materials that you simply can not source and assemble for your homeschool each week.

State-certified teachers & specialists provide expert instruction and guidance alongside your own teaching at home – and we all respect and understand that parents are kids’ first, best, and most important teachers.

We know that homeschoolers don’t like to get hung up on ages and grades. Our multi-age community fosters family, friendships, mentorship, and belonging for every kid and promotes positive sibling relationships – not rivalry or competition.

Your time and investment belong to your homeschool. Our self-selected schedule let’s you keep your rhythm, celebrate your children’s growth, and build new skills and independence.

We’re not a co-op, but we do welcome and respect your input and effort. You don’t have to staff, teach, or run our programs – but your skills, knowledge, and experiences are celebrated too! Volunteering is always appreciated – never required.

Do we have to enroll full-time?

We are not a full-time school. We are a part-time program for which you may sign your child up for 2-6 half days per week for the academic year. Our schedule is intentionally designed around the needs of families and children and free from institutional or state constraints. This flexibility allows you to seamlessly blend high-quality group programs at the Dandelion Schoolhouse with your family’s unique lifestyle and create balance, including:

At-home learning and personalized core studies.
Optional Dandelion Community activities – Friday field trips, Camp Days, and community events.
Outside enrichments that you choose – such as other co-ops, sports leagues, music. You select the combination and providers that best support your child’s homeschool education and your family’s values.

Do you replace our curriculum?

Never. We provide a comprehensive, spiral curriculum and bi-weekly menus with links for all subjects k-8 throughout the year. In the Schoolhouse, we also provide access to all tools and materials listed in our menus. Our Cirriculum is intended to complement, not replace, the studies you have at home.

Can we choose our days?

Yes!

Families select and keep their own custom schedule throughout the academic year.

You can choose anywhere from 2 to 6 half-days per week, with the option to add our Lunch Club to any or all sessions.

Is this a co-op?

No.

By and large, homeschool co-ops (cooperatives) are also groups of homeschooling families, however, unlike Dandelion and other microschools, they are not led by professional educators and do not provide robust community calendars, community meeting places, or a network of support.

Most often, parents share responsibilities for teaching, planning, and social activities.
